Leftover eggs? Eggs-cellent!

Now that the Easter holidays are over, what to do with all these leftover plastic eggs? I have seen some beautiful egg crafts on Pinterest and now have so many ideas!

I managed to get all these eggs for less that $3 at the Spotlight sales last weekend. So here are some educational uses for plastic eggs within in the classroom.

Other Ideas

Scrabbled Eggs
Scrabble letters are placed in the eggs, students make as many words as possible with the letters.

Guess Who?
A picture of an animal/object, etc is placed in the egg. Students write three clues which describe the object. Students swap eggs and clues with a partner and try and guess the object.

Slithering Snake or Crawling Caterpillar
Punch a hole in the top of each egg half, and students thread a string of them together. Decorate with legs, eyes and antennae to make some creepy crawlies. Experiment with different coloured eggs for different effects.

Do you have any other ideas?
